Maven Capital submits plans for Glasgow office to hotel conversion

Maven Capital Partners has submitted plans to Glasgow City Council for an office to hotel conversion of Douglas House on Waterloo Street in the heart of Glasgow’s International Financial Services District, opposite the new 150,000 sq. ft. Morgan Stanley HQ building currently under construction.

The proposed 129-bed hotel has been designed by Ica Architects and it is expected it would operate as an Ibis Styles branded hotel, managed under franchise by Redefine|BDL.

Maven recently completed a similar development for the 101-bed Ibis Styles Glasgow Central George Square, which opened in September 2015 and is operated by Redefine|BDL.

The Glasgow-based investment firm, which has specialised in a number of BPRA investor hotel developments including the Hotel Indigo Glasgow, is also currently developing other two Hotel Indigo hotels, in Cardiff and Durham.
