Plans revealed for two North East Hotels

High Street Hospitality have announced plans for two new hotels in the north east of England.
In Newcastle, plans have been submitted for a £2m development to transform a former office block on Collingwood Street, into the 13 bedroom Metropolitan House Hotel. While in County Durham the firm plan to invest £4.5m in a 42 bedroom hotel on the Durham Gate retail project at Thinford. Both hotels will operate under the company’s Hotel 52 brand.
The Hotel 52 brand currently includes the 32 bedroom Hotel 52 Whitley Bay and the 23 bedroom Hotel 52 Stanley. In addition, High Street Hospitality own the 37 bedroom Sure Hotel Collection The Sea in South Shields, the 55 bedroom Best Western Parkmore Hotel in Eaglescliffe, and the 7 bedroom Three Horse Shoes Hotel in Washington, where there are plans to build and additonal 58 bedrooms in the grounds.
